But the band didn't let the disappointment show as they performed their usual set with confidence. However, an appearance on BBC Radio Liverpool not only results in airplay for the single, but after likening a Rinaldi Sings track to ’60s pop legends Honeybus, the band receive an interested letter from Honeybus singer Colin Hare. Although at odds with the style of the supports, the band received a rapturous reception, with the crowd still chanting for more five minutes after the group had exited the stage. A broken guitar string curtailed the set one song short of the full set – and for the first time traditional set-closer 'Heaven Knows' became the encore. The appreciative crowd tonight includes recent convert to the band, music journalist and author Paolo Hewitt. Rowan Fenner makes her second appearance with the band on backing vocals.
