The Rinaldi Sings London debut was nearly wrecked by disaster, as a faulty bass delayed the beginning of the set and left the band stranded onstage while repairs were made. But by the end of the night the packed Dublin Castle crowd had been won over and the band left the stage to an ovation of stomping, cheering and clapping. Rowan Fenner, who featured on many of the studio recordings, made her first live appearance with Rinaldi Sings. The inquisitive crowd tonight included former Creation Records label manager Edward Ball (currently directing the video for the first Rinaldi Sings single) and Simon Dine of Noonday Underground.
